Electric motor and drive

¡ñ The motor shaft and worm are independent of each other for the purpose of quick replacement. Worm wheel and worm are separately immersed and run in the lubricating oil, which is suitable for the max. ambient temperature difference. Low inertia and high moment motor enables it able to reach the peak moment quickly after it is started. There is reliable temperature sensor in the coil, which can ensure safe operation of the motor.

Measurement of valve position

¡ñ Accurate and reliable process control depends on the accurate positioning at the end of valve stroke, EROK EK/EKQ series actuator uses professionally designed non-contact valve position measuring system without cumulative error (incremental type Hall magnetic effect counting encoder), this system converts the rotation of output central sleeve into electric signal, then compare it with the position limit stored in the safe and permanent memory and gives limiting instruction at the same time. The setting range of position limit: 2.5~100,000 turns, the resolution power for the output angle of central shaft of the actuator is 7.5 degrees.

¡ñ EROK(EROK) can also provide higher accuracy photoelectric absolute position encoder. Such encoder is free from the effect of reserve battery failure.

Moment measurement
¡ñ Moment sensor of professional design delicately converts the reactive force of the thrust of motor worm into electric signal proportionate to the output moment to obtain accurate and repeatable moment measurement value independent of change in frequency, voltage and temperature. Setting range of moment: 40%~100% of rated moment.
Manual/electric switching mode

¡ñ When manual operation is required, the manual driving mode won't become effective until the manual/electric switching handle is pushed down to "manual" position and then is released. Once the motor turns, the actuator will automatically return to the electric driving mode. If necessary, the switching lever can be locked at "manual" position or "electric" position with a padlock.

¡ñ Built-in clutch makes the actuator has the effect of idle stroke hammering whether in manual or in electric operation mode, thus can open too tightly closed valve.

(Note: when making manual switching, the handwheel needs to be turned slowly for purpose of smooth switching).
