Dual seal protection |
¡ñ EROK EK/EKQ series actuator adopts dual seal protection, its enclosure is fully waterproof, dustproof and airtight, has a protection grade of IP68, and can work at a depth of 7m underwater for 72 hours. Dual seal technology makes the electric box and the terminal box are isolated from each other completely, when the connecting terminal box is opened for wiring at the beginning of installation, the elements within the electric box can still be protected.

| Instant reversion protection |
¡ñ When the actuator is turning in a direction, for example, executing an opening action, if it receives closing command, the internal logic control of the actuator will delay a preset length of time, then execute the closing command. This technology will reduce the rush of motor current, prolong the life of contactor and prevent the impact load from possible damage to the mechanical drive such valve stem, gearbox, etc., thus effectively protect the motor.

| Valve seizure protection |
| ¡ñ If the actuator cannot overcome the moment required for valve startup, then the condition for valve seizure exists. When the actuator receives the start signal of opening or closing, if the valve is seized and doesn't act within the preset time, then the internal circuit will disconnect the electric motor to interrupt actuator running in a forced way. Meanwhile corresponding alarm signal is given. In addition this signal can be output through RCB contact.

| Protection of valve and pipeline |
| ¡ñ In the case of larger pressure and flow in the pipeline, in order to more effectively protect the pipeline and valve, an interruption timer is designed in EROK EK/EKQ series actuator to alleviate the impact on pipeline and valve. Interruption timer can set open enable or close enable, and can set any time within the interruption interval of 1~120s. Thus effectively controls the opening and closing speed of the valve so as to serve different application. |
| Protection of personnel and equipment |
| ¡ñ In the design and production of the actuator, we strictly observe relevant standards and take into full account the requirements for the safety of personnel and equipment around the actuator. Secondly, in the control process, the customer can adopt some special control means, for example interlock control, in this mode, the actuator will act only when the two interlocked signals are both valid. Take development command as an example, if the actuator will execute opening operation only when we set remote opening and opening interlock signal are at high level at the same time, then, once a signal has a high level or a signal is lost, the actuator won't have any action so as to avoid occurrence of hazardous condition. |
| Phase sequence protection |
¡ñ The phase synchronization technology of EROK EK/EKQ series actuator can enable wiring for installation of the actuator without the need to take into account the phase sequence of the three phase AC source and the phase is monitored at any moment in the operation process so as to ensure that the actuator can run properly according to the instruction.

Open-phase protection |
| |
¡ñ In order to prevent damage of open phase to electric motor, the phase monitor within the actuator will monitor the presence of all three phases of the AC power supply. In the event of loss of one or more phases, the related circuit will disable the operation of the actuator, meanwhile give the responsive alarm signal.
